Leg and Buttock Pain – Physio Treatment

Soaz Therapy for leg and buttock pain

A Woman aged 52 having left sided back, leg and buttock pain with pins and needles into the foot, came to see me.  She has had the problem for 5 years. Having trouble walking, sitting at work and lying on her left side at night was what brought on her leg and buttock pain.

She had seen various other therapists over this time.

Functional movements were as follows: could only bend forward to touch top of knees.  Her turning movements were tight on the right to about half.

Apart from her leg and buttock pain, her neck movement to the right was also about half range of movement.

After only 2 visits this lady reported feeling 75% better with her leg and buttock.  She was able to bend to touch the floor and her turning movement had improved to full.

She was able to sleep on her L side pain free and also was able to sit at work pain free.

All this without going to her back, where her pain was.

This 3-year study into back pain across the globe published in the prestigious medical journal The Lancet reports that our current treatments for back pain are lacking in evidence of effectiveness. See article below
